Sustainability has been a topic close to the hearts of the
Schréder family shareholders for generations.
In 2020, we formalised this commitment by launching our Together For Our Future
sustainability strategy, structured around three pillars.
Our aim has never been to pursue sustainability for the sake of image or reputation.
We set out to design and deliver products and services that make a meaningful contribution to building a better, greener, more sustainable world - while helping our customers achieve their own sustainability goals.

Supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals
At Schréder, we are strong supporters of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the action-based nature of these goals align with our own values.
We have identified ten SDGs that we contribute to the most through our own operations and our work for towns and cities worldwide. They form the framework of our sustainability strategy to build a positive future for all.
EcoVadis Gold
Since 2019, we have carried out annual assessments on the EcoVadis platform to monitor our sustainability performance and verify the alignment of our strategy and actions with external standards.
We are proud of our steady progress, improving from bronze in 2019 to receiving a gold medal for the fourth year in a row in 2025.
Despite the assessment's scope and criteria becoming more stringent each year, we achieved our highest score yet: 83 out of 100. This is a significant increase on our 2024 results and places Schréder in the top 1% of EcoVadis-rated companies in the electric lighting equipment manufacturing industry, as well as in the top 5% of all companies evaluated worldwide.
